About JSSC
The Jharkhand staff selection commission is commonly referred to as JSSC. It is a state-level selection commission for the state Jharkhand. This commission is headed by a chairman and two representatives who are from the government departments. The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission(J.S.S.C.) has been constituted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Act 2008 (Jharkhand Act 16, 2008) which was published vide Gazette notification no. 829 dt. 6 December 2008 of Jharkhand Government. The Act was amended by Jharkhand Act 03,2011 and Jharkhand Act 19,2011; published vide Gazette notification nos. 153 dt. 24 February 2011 and 687 dt. 11 October 2011 respectively.

Jharkhand Public Service Commission was constituted under the provisions of the Article 315 of the Constitution of India by the Governor of JHARKHAND. Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) was established with the aim of making a commission fully responsible for making the recruitment for the government posts in the state.

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (J.C.E.C.E.B) has been constituted under Section 85 of Bihar Re-Constituted Act, 2000 by the Govt. Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board is a self-financed, autonomous incorporated body of State Government. The Government has constituted the Member of Board for taking decisions on policy and organizational matters in light of Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board Act. 2000. Vide Memo No. 374 dated 29.03.2001.

The Jharkhand Academic Council(J.A.C.) has been constituted by the Jharkhand Academic Council Act 2002 .The State of Jharkhand came into existence on 15th of November,2000. An Act to establish the Jharkhand Academic Council was enacted by the Jharkhand State Legislature and assented to by honourable Governor of the State on 26.02.2003 and notifed by the government on 04.03.2003.
